Hi guys I’m new here. My question is will a jl audio 1000/1 monoblock amp be to much power for a JL 12w6v2 D4. Can I run it on the lowest settings? Thank you.

What kind of box is the sub in? What kind of vehicle and has the electrical system been upgraded?

The box is tuned to 32 htz, ported, 1.5 cubic ft

It has an lc2 high low converter. 2010 camaro ss

Looks like you have a 150a alternator which is enough power for that amp. You should be safe as long as you set the amp right.

You will have no issues. Just set the gains right and check your subs heat levels

if u don't have the amp yet u can get one as good or better for less $ i'm sure, jl over priced..
