One ported 10, two ported 8's?

I have a 02 quad cab dodge( full 4 door ) and I bought a box off ebay, then subs off a guy on SD, subs are blown, box aint worth a crap, and I'm tired of it.

I'm going to custom build me a box under the back seat

Here's the dilemma, the box I have now, as stated, is about 1.2^ft before displacement(entire box). Well I'm just going to make it for one sub(If I go with a 10) or for two 8's.

Should I go ahead and build it and put a ported 10 or two ported 8's in there? Help? I intend to do it right( I also need a box design here, or someone who will help me with how big to make the port)...

I posted this before but no one would respond, so I changed the post title and maybe someone will take a gander.

I have 250x2 at 4ohm and 325x2 at 2ohm to work with here, so I've got enough power for two pretty decent 8's or one pretty good 10, I'd say. Is .5^ft per sub, after displacement and port, enough for a ported 8, or nay?

Which 8's/10's? Help? Please?

Thanks for lookin

Ryan

Well I was actually considering the AudioQue HD8's or maybe just the LW 8's, LW's are about 130 shipped per 8, the HD's are like, 300+ lol

I guess two of the LW's - or are there any 8's that are good for SQ(L) ?

Also - can someone help me figure out how big the port needs to be?

Looks like you picked the two 8s. I would have. You could probably also get away with 1/2" MDF instead of 3/4" to help with internal volume.

Assuming I use the LW's, how bit does the Port need to be? I can't figure it out(call me stupid all you like, I don't very well understand unless it's flat *** stated to me, sorry //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif )

If someone bothers to answer, I do appreciate it.

It will be dependant on your tuning and box size/design.

Tuning at 30hz, but howso depending on the box design? I just need to know how big to make the port and how long lol

Rectangular(how tall and how wide) vs how deep... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Gross ^ft will be right at about .7 per side, before displacements

PM Moe Lester, he should help you figure out a box design.. Or use THIS, many have said its fairly accurate.
