Ill stick with the OPTI1532D and OPTI1535D. The fs on the OPTI1533D is a bit high to be very musical.

Yes jdawg, those were the ones I was looking at. If I read correctly, they are 3000 watts RMS, and I just planned on getting one with a 3000 watt RMS amp. And the Opti series would be the only thing I considered because that is what the reviews said.

i got a pair of the 10's the max pros and they arent the worst subs that i ever had but they definitly arent the best

is lanzar trying again? they do look like some potential spl monsters. One of those on 2 older opti 1k amps would be a cool build, probably sound like shit but be loud.

The model of subwoofer is the link that jdawg posted. I'm not exactly sure what amp I'll need. That's kind of one of the reasons I registered for this site. I have about $400-500 to work with on subs/amp/enclosure.

meh. I wouldn't get it for that price. freq resp only goes down to 40Hz (which is weird), so It'll probably be a burp monster, but not a everyday sub.

first you need to figure out what kind of setup you want. just pure SPL or a mix of sound quality and SPL

So you plan on getting a woofer that is 3k rms and wanting that amount of power to back it up. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you have little if any electrical upgrades to your vehicle??

Exactly what I stated, the fs on that model is to high to be very musical, I would stick with the OPTI1535D or OPTI1532D
