Here is one of my beasts. I am needing a change, I just need to build a box for my secret 12 inch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I used to be an audiophile, but now I'm not so much into audio, and want to just get some speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif this may be up for sale if I get the right offer.
This here is a Soundsplinter 15 inch Dual 2 ohm Voice Coils. Thing is designed for SQL, but it gives much SPL as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I took her out yesterday to change the wiring. This thing is HUGE for my integra. and HEAVY. I think something like 50lbs. Because my 12 weighs 40lbs.
It was wired to 1 ohm, pulling 1200 wrms from the amp.
I was afraid it may do damage to my alternator so I went ahead and changed it.
I wired it down to 4 ohms, pulling 425 wrms from the amp, and boy it still sounds so good, and get s very loud.
But thought I would share the pics.
The huge magnet! and the VCs wired at 4 Ohms.
This is my Fav //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif it has my other teggy in the background //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
This is a good shot, just wish I woulda got the VCs in the picture.
