One JL AUDIO 1000/1 amp Pushing TWO 12 Inch W6v2's

I want to get some opinions on the setup im thinking about going with.I have a 2003 Silverado SS Ext.Cab Pick-up and was thinking about going with two 12'' W6 JL Audio Woofers and the JL Audio 1000 Amp.How hard do you guys think that would hit in my truck.Would you here me a block or three away?Just what kind of sound should i be looking for with this setup in a custom built box?

They'd hear you for at least 40 furlongs, at least. Might even hear you in Bremen.

I was just wondering if that would be too small a setup for my truck

Should be nice if they are put in a good box. if you are going for straight SPL though, W6's aren't really made for that.

Im not too famaliar with a lot of this stuff could you explain SPL to me that way ill know what im looking to get out of this system.

SPL=sound pressure level, loud, don't care about how it sounds really

SQ = sound quality, self explanatory

then theres SQL which is suppose to be a mix of the two.

it would be worthless to run 4 10w6s off a 1000/1, your subs would hate you
