So i left my window down like a tard and some rain water killed one of my IR1 tweets. Although these are the best tweeters I have yet to play with in 8 years of car audio, I'm too poor to afford $180+ ship for another set from DLS (plus this series is discontinued and replaced by the gothia series).
I'm not sure what I want to sell it for, so I'm going to just say 75 obo. I'll accept reasonable offers.
Pics coming tomorrow of the tweet and the voice coil reading on my dmm. There's a little bit of dust built up on the dome. I contacted DLS and they recommended useing some scotch tape to lightly tab on the dome and stick the dust off of it. they advised against using water or chemicals as it will dilute or alter the film used on the surface of the domes. They said light tabs with scotch tape would be perfect.
Tweeter comes with just the tweet and the surface mount/grill. For an extra $5 I can throw in the two pvc endcaps that I had these mounted in. The endcaps are still white but can be painted black to matcht the tweets. These actually looked pretty decent in the endcaps....unlike my IR3's which look horrible in the 4in pvc endcaps.....
