one 12" or 15"

ya the 15 should sound lower. and be somewhat louder than a single 12 jus because of cone area
so generally, the large the cone area and bigger the motor, the louder the output (in lamest terms)? so same power, the 15 will still have an advantage of the 12 eh (in output that is)?

 
I'd go with the 12" personally. It's going to get plenty loud if done right...remember, if someone can get 177.7 db out of a single 10", then u can do quite a bit w/ a sub. It all depends on the install...that's why u get people who have one sub who are louder than 2 subs, good install. It's 90% install, 10% equipment...

who, what freq., car , power , what sub???

177.7 with a 10? maybe if you fire up an f-16 jet engine in the cab simultaneously.
