ya the 15 should sound lower. and be somewhat louder than a single 12 jus because of cone area

so generally, the large the cone area and bigger the motor, the louder the output (in lamest terms)? so same power, the 15 will still have an advantage of the 12 eh (in output that is)?

12"s arent as sloppy as a 15..they stay in control more..i would choose a 12 over a 15 in this situation

I'd go with the 12" personally. It's going to get plenty loud if done right...remember, if someone can get 177.7 db out of a single 10", then u can do quite a bit w/ a sub. It all depends on the install...that's why u get people who have one sub who are louder than 2 subs, good install. It's 90% install, 10% equipment...

It all depends on the install...that's why u get people who have one sub who are louder than 2 subs, good install. It's 90% install, 10% equipment...
