one 12" or 15"

through my work i can get a type r 12 for about $100. on ebay they have 15s for about $200. which one would you do? think there would be a noticeable difference between the both (considering same power, box requirements)?

I have two 12" R's you can have for 200 shipped. I noticed a huge difference between 1 15 and 1 12. But two 12" R's had a bit of an edge over the 15

not sure just yet, thinking nine.1, but whatever it will be, will be same to each sub probably.

i only really have room for one or the other, based on the install im doing. i do have the whole trunk of a grand cherokee, but wont work with my install.

main question is, is it worth buying the 15? i mean if its the same power, i probably wont notice a difference will i?

IMO i tihnk the 15's have deeper bass, and hit a little bit better, But its all in the install I think.

either one or the other. one 12 or one 15. can save $100 on the 12 tho.

of course the 15 will be louder, hit lower, obviously....

depends if you have the money and what do you want?

ya the 15 should sound lower. and be somewhat louder than a single 12 jus because of cone area

the type r's are different from HD3's, Fi's and others in that the 12 and 15 doesn't share the same motor...

the 15 r is definitely much more superior compared to the 12...bigger everything...but since it is 2x the price, its really up to what you want to do, 2 12's will have a slight edge over the 15 in terms of output but the single 15 will use less space and it'll have the "cool" factor of being a single sub...
