one 12 ported versus 2 12's sealed

I have very limited space in a single cab truck. I can either get a single cvr ported or two cvr's sealed. Would the single 12 be louder in the ported box or would the 2 12's ,because of the cone area, be louder to the ear? any help appreciated

I would go with 2 12's sealed over one 12 ported. The one ported will probably be as loud right around tuning but the 2 12's will be louder over the whole bandwidth. As long as you can properly power the 2 12's i would go with them, if not just go with one ported.

I used to have 2 12" Kicker Comps in a sealed box, 1.7 each and now I only have 1 in a 2.5@32 ported box. The single one is louder, except for the real high stuff, but its really close. I was quite suprised at how well it sounded and loud it got.

thanks for the help i think im goin to try and save up for just a ported cvx
