i have pioneer 3-way speakers in the doors and rear panels. the fronts (6.5") take 50 watts rms, and the rears (6x8") take 35 rms. should find an amp to run them, a good 4 channel, or should i save my money and invest in a good set of components. i found an amp that will do 65w rms x 4. i figure that if i keep the gains down, i should be okay. the reason for the question is that i am upgrading my sub-stage to 2 alpine type-r 12's, and i know that the head unit is not going to keep up with that. so, let me know what you guys think.

are you going to take the time and money to properly install/image/tune/power those components? if not just get the 4 channel

i figure i can use the amp i am getting either way, 4-channel or bridge it to 2-channel for the comps. planning on kick panels for the comps, and i have most of the install designed, some in my head and most on paper.
