? on keeping or selling this amp..

I currently have a jl 500/1 ....It is a great clean amplifier but i crave a lil more or do I? I am running them with a pair of 2 12" type r's ( 4ohm models ). I've herd many good things about soundstream and can get a soundstream picasso 2.880 for about $180. I was wondering if I sell me amp....would the soundstream make a very notable significance than the JL amp? The only reason why im doing this is because I can save money by selling the JL and buying the soundstream, thanks

i'd sell it. u'll probably get 250 for it. i think u'll notice a difference in spl because of the more power. no loss in sq because it would make a difference, plus soundstream is a pretty nice sounding company. u need more than 500 watts for type R's. i think its a wise decision.
