He's trying to bench test his amp with just a DMM.....

If you want to find what your ampis putting out at a given ohm load then you need a DMM and a Clamp meter.

Search the forums on how to do a benchtest as I am sick and tired of copying and pasting.

Infact in the search section type "bench testing an amp" and there you go all with the little search button.

What you are doing is the gain setting way.

Completely different.

How are your subs wired up and what voice coil configuration are they...
