Hi everyone
I bought a 92 Toyota Camry in July with an Alpine CDA-7875 head unit. It is older, yes, but really I can't afford to replace it right now. My issue is this: it has a motorized face plate. When you go to open the face plate (by pressing eject button) it works just fine. Switching to CD mode you get an error message. You can't insert a disc either, and there does not appear to be anything else in there. Also, once the face plate has been "opened", it will not close again unless you actually manipulate it manually.
Has anyone heard of someone having these problems before? If so, could you advise me on how to proceed here? If it means just breaking down and buying a new receiver, fine, I guess I'll have to do it eventually.........
Thanks...
