Old school RF amps vs. new RF amps..

I have an old school Power 650 that I plan on pushing my 2 12" CompVR dvc's with and am looking for old school Power 300's on ebay for my mids and his, my question is would the newer Power series from RF, the small footprint amps be better than my old ones as far as power and clarity goes? I can't seem to find a Power 300 for less than $275, and that's a little steep for an old model amp that could possibly need repair much sooner than a newer amp. My 650 is in the shop right now getting repaired by dBr, just trying to weigh my options, I can easily sell the 650 for $350-$450 and buy 2 new amps probably cheaper than going with the old school setup. What do you guys with experience think?

I would probably be looking at the RF Power T400.2 for subs and the T400.4 for the separates...I do however have an outlet for the Alpine PDX amps cheap and some Soundstream stuff at cost..any opinions?
