the HU in my sig has caught fire, well almost fire twice. smoke poured out of it but, its still going. now the other day i was listening to my amp and, it ws sizzaling(sp), could the HU cause this?

the wasnt even in the truck. it was coming directly from the amp.

ok... your system is trying to tell you something... if you have already almost had two fires and shit sizzles and smokes in your vehicle that means your not doing something correctly... read up and tripple check your wireing.

maybe you have something stuck in the amp like a piece of styrofoam from when it was in the box that's jus burning up.

i hook it up to my friends amp and, it was fine..... my sub distorts at low levels when ran off this amp.
