Ok to connect subs to rear rca??

For some reason yesterday the sub rca outs on my head unit stopped working. In fact, smoke started coming from it...I have no clue why this happened as I've been running my setup for months without problems. Anyways, I get no output whatsoever from the sub rcas now but if I connect the sub amp to the head unit's Rear RCA I get sound. Is it okay to connect this way? It would only be temporarily until I can buy another head unit.

you'll be fine. you'll have to adjust the xovers on the rear rca's for your sub now, and your subs will be in stereo instead of mono
