Here’s the deal, when I installed my amp kit none of ring connectors would fit my battery terminal. It’s a GM side post terminal so I ended up just sandwiching bare 8 guage power cable between the battery and the terminal. It works great, but I knew I shouldn’t leave it like that.
So I took some advice from members and purchased a Stinger ring connector and Stinger GM side post battery terminal. Disconnected the battery (neg first) installed them, connected them to eachother, powered up my system, went to start my truck and I hear a “click”. Everything’s dead, rechecked all my connections and still nothing. I called Stinger and they weren’t much help, they gave me the old “our product is not the problem” line. What to do? I'm back to the bare wire sandwich.
I would like to hear from other GM truck and SUV owners on what they used to properly terminate power for their amps. Photo’s and or what you used would be nice. Thanks!
