I'm selling my 3 older C&D high rate series batteries. These things are huge, weighing in at 100 lbs. I bought them lightly used, and only used them myself for ~3 months. They're all resting at ~12.8V, and in good physical condition.

Brand new these cost ~$450, and I got them for $250 each a little over a year ago...I'm only asking $200 per batt, but PM me your best price if you're willing to pick them up in Denton. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

THESE HAVE A HIGHER RESERVE CAPACITY THAN KINETIK 2400'S OR PM 3100'S...THESE ARE BEASTS.

they are huge!
135ah reserve capacity //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

PM D3100's(flavor of the week around here) only have 114ah of reserve capacity...these batts would be great for streetbeat classes where you need a bunch of backup for a 30 second run.

could those and a 250-300 amp alt handle 2 VFL's 500.1 for daily
Depends on what ohm load you'll be running those 500.1's at. I don't see there being any problems with your setup being used for normal listening. But if you plan on competing in a streetbeat type of format where you'll be pushing your system to the max for 30 seconds, then you may need more alt/batt to keep voltage at a high level.

I still don't think there'd be a ton of voltage drop with these batts. You'll probably drop down to batt voltage easily, but I don't think these batts will run out of juice very easily.

well i wont be doing many comps. mainly looking to do a blowthrough with 4 18's either btl's or omega cascade or RD elite's. With the vfl 500.1's at 1 ohm so i can have around 10-11k watts pretty much just daily system

prob go with a 250 mech alt or somehing around that 250-300amp alt. Big battery upfront biggest i can fit and 3 of these or if i can find a 4th one put all 4 in the back with 4 runs of 1/0 to the back or 6 runs or w/e is needed

With that much power I'd run a dual alt setup. You can normally get away with your alt being half the size of the amount of amperage your amps will pull. But since you can potentially be pulling around 1000 amps(which is a ton), trying to keep the batts charged with just a 250 amp alt will be pretty tough.

ok well what if i ran my stock alt to my upfront battery and all the trucks electrical and ran 16 volt alt and 16 volt batteries. How would that be setup i never looked inot 16volts

or should i just run two 300amp alts and call it a day

A couple of 200-300 amp alts would be easier IMO.
