Ok heres the deal.....

i just got my first truck, a 1996 f150 regular cab and am looking into buying subs and an amp. I can make the box and i already have a pioneer HU. Since the truck is a regular cab, the subs cant be any deeper than 5 1/2". I listen to mostly rap and rock. So on a $550 budget what sub and amp combo would you guys suggest?? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

5 1/2 is pretty tough.... maybe get a shallow mount sub...

Thanks for the responses. Yea ive been looking at the shallow mount subs but i wasnt sure if they would hit as hard as a regular sub that wasnt very deep. Out of these shallow mounts: Kole Audio 12's, Pioneer 12"s, or the Power Acoustik 12's, which ones would be the loudest? Also would these be louder than 3 or 4 8's or 10's that will fit back there???
