Ok im not happy with my current setup. i just purchased a brahma 10" and i had a audiobahn a18001dq from my last install. I was hoping to push the brahma with it but it wont take the 1800 watts at 1 ohm and it only pushes 600 at 4 ohm. So what to do? Should i just stay with the 600 or should i purchase an amp that pushes like 1200 at 1ohm. Need some advice here. Will the sub perform alot better or alittle better with more power.

Also with the a18001dq it seems like i have to have the gain like 3/4 to full to get much output. Is this wierd bad? When i had my two idmax hooked up to it i only had to have it at like 1/4 but i was running at 1 ohm?

Ok last question is what size ported box should i build for the 10" brahma cause this little .75 sealed box adire told me to build just isnt working well. ????

Is anyone else running a 10"brahma i what are they running for it?

you can use that amp to power the sub @ a 1 ohm load....just turn the gains down...you only need about 800 watts to get it fully moving....build a bigger box and turn the gains down with a 1 ohm load

the adire site says 1.25 for a ported box but i wanted everyone recommendation. I want know if a bigger box would be better. or not. I think im gonna try and build a 1.25 cu ported box to 35 hz and see what happens. Then possibly look into the different amp.

I got rid of the idmax for no reason other then space. I purchased a new 2003 4runner and i have a double decker cargo area. So i wanted to keep as much cargo area as possible while getting some good sound. a 3 cub box atleast 14 inches high is not maximizing my space. So i needed a ten inch. I think im gonna purchase another 10 inch around may. if image dynamica made the idmax in 10 i would have def purchased them but they dont.
