Got a customer that came to me a week ago talking about doing something big in his Durango.. After discussing how much power and money were talking.. It seems like this could have a TON of potential.

He wants to do 4 18" Nightshades and Around 10kw for them. He already has 2 390Amp Iraggi's and is going to do 8 Kinetik Batteries.. Also Fat Matt the entire thing and more things.

I want to know what everyone thinks and/or recommends to changed, box design, layouts, etc. I want to do this right, and have talked to Sundown, etc.

Thanks for reading, and PLEASE reply with any and all comments and suggestions.

Ahh forgot that.. Weve got from the front seats to the back hatch.. but he wants to do a firing up and port back type design, instead of a wall.. Might not be the best choice, but I have to work with the customers layout for the most part. So trying to work with what Ive got

If you got from the front seats to the back, Why not do a wall?

Daily groundpounder.. but will bring it to shows and stuff.. Probably tuned low and just go with it.. possibly make it interchangeable if all out possible..

What the guy said is he wants to do a 150+ all day.. Hes kinda in the middle, wants it loud daily but wants to compete with it. One way or the other I guess..

I have 4 18's in a 99 Durango. The box is walled, and it is a monster.I am running 4 DD 9518's,and only 2800 watts for the winter. Will step up the wattage to about 14k in the spring.I think it will work out better as a B pillar wall. After you see the size of the box you will probably agree.I honestly do not know if this set up will fit in a box below window line...? This box is 24 cubes net,and goes almost to the back hatch.DEFFINATELY not an easy build, nor a quick one.384 cubic inches of port.

OH,and with the batteries... I made up a box for the behind the back of the sub box,but it will only hold 6 100Ah AGM batteries.Only 44 inches to work with.Seriously no room back there. Will have to get creative to fit 8 plus the amps.

you can eaisly do 150 daily with a below window line box, this would be a plus if he ever goes to comps as it would not put him into the extreme class. unless of course you take out the back seats, if your going t have to do that just wall it and call it a day,

Well I see back seats being taken out and the nightshades luckily like small boxes 4-5 cubes per after displacement use aeros as that will be an easy interchangable port for tuning low for daily and then putting up the all numbers in the lane wish you guys were closer I could help you out alot.either gonna have to use 8-6" aeros or find some nice 8-10" aeros also these zeros will help alot as well in the fact they require a little less port area per cubic foot and take up less box volume than a standard slot port.

For box size, and port area if I use aeros what do you guys think? Probably sticking with all 4 firing up, ports back.. Also.. Where do you find aeros that size? Using sonotubes or what?

Haha true.. I would prefer a wall design.. But can't tell the guy wall or get out.. Gotta make money and itll be loud with virtually any design.. Kinetik told the guy he needed 8 Batteries for the setup.. Sound right? I would think so since they told him that, but who knows.. I have yet to talk to them myself..
