Live in Wyoming, and our economy is one of the few going up because of the oil booms around here. We have the largest natural gas fields and newbies to the rigs (Worms) make 25 an hour startin out.. 7 on, 7 off schedule
F**K Wyoming.

I worked in Sinclair, roomed in Rawlins. The refinery workers from out of state were basically the only thing keeping the city's economy alive and we got ***** on everything from hotel rooms to groceries.

People workin on rigs up there in the winter earn every cent. Thats some cold windy shit to be out workin in long days like that.

I agree.

Them boys earn it up here too on the north slope of Alaska.

Yesterday it was -15 ambient, and it gets down to -50 ambient w/ 20-30 mph sustained winds

It's dry tho, as wyoming felt almost as cold as it is now

so 43 bucks a barrel your saying its harder to get a job on a oil rig or even harder to keep it?
Not sure about other areas, but here low oil prices mean new projects (new drilling, well repairs, etc) don't get worked with the same urgency. Projects just don't have the return they did a few months ago.
