Ohms?

My friend was getting the three mtx tens in the sealed hatchback box with the plexiglass on the back and I was wondering if you could wire that down to 1 ohms I am not real sure about ohms or anything like that. He was going to put a crunch amp on them.

wired in parallel (all positives together, then all negatives together) would give you a single 1.33 ohm load if all three are 4 ohm svc subs. Hope this helps.

in the future i was thinking about adding another 12w6v2 (so i would have 3)...they are 4 ohm subs DVC. im running them off a JBL 1200.1 so they cant be below 1 ohm....whats the lowest i could run it at thats not below 1 ohm???

wiring the vc's in series, then the three subs in parallel would give you a 2.67 ohm load. You would not get the full 1200 watts out of that amp, something more than 900 I would think though. The only other lower load I can think of would be a .67 ohm, which would probably be too low. Hope this helps.

haha i know it would....but at 2.67 ohms would recieve more then 900 watts.....it recieves 1200watts at 2 ohms and 750 watts at 4 ohms....so at 3 ohms it would recieve 975 watts. So it would be recieving around 100watts or maybe more probably...which is 333 to a sub that is recommend for 400...i think it would work out well...what do u think?

yea, I think it would work out good, I have perfects wired exactly like that, so they won't be gettin over 350
