Ohms Sweet Ohms

Hi, its great to have a place to get some advice..I have recently bought a new car stereo system Pioneer DEH X6700 BS Head Unit...Pioneer GM A4604 Amplifier and Blaupunkt Blue Magic Speakers...The question is.. The speakers are 3 Ohm and the Amp is rated down to 2 Ohm which will work, but the Receiver Manual says not to use 1 to 3 Ohm speakers with this unit...I thought that the rating of the Amp is more important? or do I absolutely need to get different speakers?...Thanks in Advance

A single set of speakers will be fine with this amp...Id guess its referring maybe to being bridged to subs...If the amp is 2ohm stable (stereo) 3 ohm speakers will work great as a single pair...

The RECEIVER manual? you mean the head unit manual or the amplifier manual?

I have two pair though.. Front and back doors Ithought that would be ok if wired in series (not bridged)

Yes.. Sorry ..The Head unit Manual

Unless you're running the speakers off the H/U it's a moot point. Even if you do end up using the HU it won't be too much of an issue as long as you don't start trying to bridge channels on the H/U power.
