Good evening.

My current amps are two mtx 8302 two channel amps. I am told at 4 ohms they give off 425 watts.

Adire sais the brahma is a dual 2-ohm sub, im wondering if bridging my two amps together into one brahma 12" would be alright.

thanks alot.

i have no idea if they are strappable.

selling them and buying a new amp is out of the picture, cause i wouldnt get too much for the amps and i barely have any money to put into this.

it just seems like a waste to throw 2 multi channel amps onto one speaker.
probably is a waste, but i bought these a while ago and it seemed like a nice setup at the time... im also not rich, and these amps were under 200 each, and so were the subs.

the 425 is at 14.4v your car maybe closer to 12v so the 300w is a good number. the problem is to get a 4 0hm load you need to run vc's in series to present a 4 ohm load. to run two amps to that speaker you would essentially be running amps in parallel. not sure if thats a good idea or not. it would be different if you could run 1 amp to 1 coil but to get that 4 ohms you're looking for you need to wire vc's in series.

Im probably getting a ho alt, so i should be up around the 425 watts soon.

to make it simple, im basically asking if i can power one brahma with my two amps.

im not the best with car audio, i still have alot to learn.

cant he jus bridge each amp into each VC of the Brahma...i dont no if the amps r 2ohm mono stable....but cant u usually run MTX's alil low??? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif ...

i did that cool thing called reading... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wacky.gif.cf4a48f9e6dfe9504ffd2c946fd2f340.gif

it dont look like u r gonna be able to run em on it then.....cuz there not 2 ohm mono stable....

if the amps were 2 ohm mono stable then he could use them. the specs say they arent pushing that spec could result in blown amp or Sub.

looks like you needed dual 4 ohm.

sorry to say man but spending 200 on those amps each nowadays will get you a real nice orion 1200D for 425 brand new. and if you dont mind used you can get stuff even cheaper.

like maybe a hifonics BX1500D which should put out ~1200 at 12V and 1400-1500 at 14.4V //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
