Ohms and Boxes.

Guys I am thinking about running 3 subs. I have a nine.2x and it needs a 4 ohm load. I have heard some ppl on the board talk about box "rise" in impedence will this work on my amp or will it see a final load of 3 ohm and cause damage to the amp? Thanks
