Ohm load Question

Drill Baby Drill!!
ok i was playing with a pair of dual 4 ohm subs. I had one at 2 ohms and the other at 8. I connected the speaker ends as if i was gonna hook them up to an amp got out my DMM to read the ohm load and got 1.5 . Has anyone done this kinda setup for real...like really hook it up to an amp and ran it like that? Is it ok to do?

I'm sure people have...

but it is not a good idea, the sub wired to two ohms will be receiving way more power than the one wired at 8 ohms.

Someone has tried everything... Current automatically flows through the path with less resistance (lower ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif) therefore your sub wired at 2 ohms would be receiving ~4 times the amount of power.

Also it would sound like ***. Why wouldnt you just wire them down to 1 ohm?
