im trying to setup a 4 channel amp with 4 svc 4ohm speakers

amp specs example

Power Output

# RMS Output @ 4 ohm: 60W x 4

# RMS Output @ 2 ohm: 100W x 4

# RMS Output @ 4 ohm: 200W x 2

EXAMPLE #1:channels- both 1/2 & 3/4 stereo mode

Running each speaker to each channel ,would it give me the 60W each?

which means that the amp takes the ohm load per channel and not total.Because if it were total it would be 1ohm.correct or no??

I'm just a tad confused on how multi channel amps takes the ohm load.

EXAMPLE #2: channels-both 1/2 & 3/4 stereo mode

If i were to run 2 speakers directly to channels 1&2 but bridge channels 3&4.

Channels 1&2 would put out 60wrms each and channels 3&4 would see a 2ohm load which would give me 200wrms to channels 3&4 giving me 100 wrms to each speaker .correct or no?

please correct me if wrong

EXAMPLE #3: channels-1/2 stereo mode 3/4 mono mode

With channels 3&4 in mono mode dose it make it mandatory that the final ohm load be 4ohms for channels 3&4?

Which means in order for me so run high/mids off channels 1&2 , for channels 3&4 i would need.

A:2 svc 8hm speakers/subs( bridged).

B:2 dvc 4ohm speakers/subs (bridged).

C:2 svc 4ohm speakers/subs on each channel.

You're making it too complicated.

If you have one 4ohm speaker hooked up to each channel, and each channel can produce 60watts at 4ohms, then you have the ability to put up to 60watts to each speaker. If channels 1/2 or 3/4 are bridged, then the lowest ohm load you want on that final bridged channel is 4ohms, which the amp will have the ability to output 200watts at 4ohms through that bridged channel.

If you're wanting to hook up four 4ohm speakers to the amp, just run one speaker to each channel. I'm assuming you're just wanting to hook up door speakers, so you want a speaker on each channel in order to still be able to control L-R and fade through your radio.

If you want to run a sub on the 3/4 bridged channels, find a SVC4ohm sub since 200 watts really isn't enough power to be worth splitting between more than one sub.
