I consider POWER CAPS and CAPACITORS to be different things, even though they are the same. The CAPACITORS I was making fun of are the 1-3 FARAD CAPs, hell yeah I'd run a 100 FARAD Cap those things are sweet, but like I said before they are probally more expensive than a decent battery. If somone asked me how to spend their money a decent Cap would be third, Alternator comes first, battery comes second. caps aren't useless, but like I said I won't buy them unless they are more reasonable.

WRONG, that list should go Cap, Alternator, Battery. The cap holds uber amounts of power and is recharged uber quick by the alt. You obviously don't know anything about systems over 500w

Better than car audio shops that will insist you need 4 high dollar batteries for a 1000 watt system while retaining the stock alternator.

All the shops I've ever been to tell you it's a waste of money to throw batteries at it without an aftermarket alternator. You're visiting shady shops.

A lot of shops just want to make a sale, regardless. They don't know how much the customer understands about car audio. I've even had one shop try to sell me a 60 amp no-name Breaker, insisting they are better than fuses.....their price was $30!
