Oh where oh where should my money go?

Very recently, I purchased a pair of 12" Power Acoustik subs. The specs include the following:

1800W Max Power

700W RMS Power

200oz magnet

dual 2 ohm voice coil

2" black ASV voice coil

and some fancy stuff that probably does something, but as i'm fairly new to all this, i'm fairly clueless as to what. anyway, i know they sound good, cause of i've heard them. the problem, i'm searching for an amp that will power these to as best as possible for a reasonable price. i am an absolute audiophile so i'm looking for quality sound along with volume. i am willing to spend what i have to get this, but i'd like to spend as little as possible. i would really appreciate any advice or product recommendations about such an amp. and hey, if someone happens to know where i could get a good deal, i would probably hug you if i knew you. lol. anyway, thanks in advance.

garrett, eh? perty sweet. well, i'm lookin to spend 200-350...any less than that would be acceptable too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. i was at best buy and they had a 1500 W for somewhere around 330 or so...i just was hopin i could get somethin with a little more power for that price. again, i'm fairly new to this so average prices are pretty unfamiliar to me. i'm hopin to learn a lot though, so i can advise friends in the future about this stuff. and yes, i'm audiophile with power acoustiks...however i'm an audiophile that can't afford his own hobbies as of right now. and besides, can ya blame me? they were only 200 for the pair. and i personally thought they sounded pretty sweet. not the best in the store, but for 200 it doesn't get much better. at least, not to my knowledge. lol. and if it makes any difference, they're the FUBR series. guess that's second from their top of the line...MOFO or somethin.

Another thing to pay attention to is the impedance of your subs. You have two dual 2 ohm voice coil subwoofers, which means that, if you wire them into a mono (single) load, your only options are 2ohm, .5ohm and 8ohm. Since most amps aren't stable into a .5ohm load, and no amp in your price range will make the power you need at 8ohm, you will need to look for a mono amp (generally cheaper in higher power situations) that puts out the power you need into a 2ohm load. So, right off the bat I can tell you that the Profile amp you chose will not work for your situation.

You can look for a 2-channel amp, but not very many of them are stable into a 2ohm mono (bridged) load, and even fewer will be able to make the power you need into a 4ohm load at a reasonable price.

Avionixx 1200.1 - This amp would be about perfect for you.

Hifonics BX1500D - This amp would give you 1000w @ 2ohm, but everyone and their brother has one (I'm a "unique" kinda guy myself)

Rockford Fosgate 1001bd - Awesome amps, underrated by atleast 200w. I had a 1501bd and loved it. This would be my personal choice.

MTX 1501D - Great amp, but you'd have to be careful with the gains and bass boost

Also remember that power handling is box dependent. So anything with about 900w (total) should be able to push those subs pretty good.
