ok anyone following this saga is probably saying **** dude just pick a sub already. i'm thinking the same thing, but now i've got another idea. muhahahahahaha.

ok here is the plan. scrap the whole two subs idea all together so i can focus on doing just one 12" I think. basically from what you all have told me is that one 12 can sound as good or better than 2 12" so listen to this idea and let me get some input from all you experts.

basically i can run 2 subs at 150rms a piece 2ohm, which is only a fraction of the power most of what i'm looking at can handle, or i can run one 12" at 300x1 4ohm which should make one 12" pound right

someone else suggested this and i think this is the route to go. i can get some room back in the extended cab portion of my truck because the box i have now is pretty freaking huge, and i should be able to get some good SQ and still have some nice SPL too.

I have two 12" JLW0's with 1.5 cubic feet for each sub and i'm only running 75rms to each sub. I want something that will sound better and louder than these if it's possible.

I gave up on buying a new amp because i just bougtht this one and it will be a lot cheaper to buy 1 sub and build a box for it than buying two subs plus a new amp to power them.

So, now i'm back to trying to pick the best sub for this application. This list is pretty close to being in the order of preference.

1. Infinity Perfect(i guess this is out, can't find it in 2ohm DVC only 4ohm)

2. Adire Audio Shiva 8ohm DVC

3. Resonant Engineering SE12 I have no idea what type of DVC sub this is.

4. Elemental Designs E12kd2 2ohm DVC

5. Alpine Type-R 2ohm DVC (this was going to be my choice for 2 subs because i could buy 2 and save money for a new amp but i moved it to last pick because the others seem to be more highly recommended from what i've read on this site)

whew, my brain is going to explode. tooo many choices..

(i forgot to ask this earlier. my kicker amp came with a birth certificate that says Certified Power total maximum power output (watts) 426. Does this mean that the maximum RMS is 426 or is that the peak power?? it seems too low to be peak but the way it's written that is what it sounds like. any ideas on this one???)
