Michigan has the longest current streak of bowl appearances, and won a few Big 10 titles in the 90's and won a championship in 97, so I don't understand where you say all their success was long ago.

Since 1980, Michigan has either won or tied for the conference title 13 times, Ohio State has won or tied 8 times.
