There is some talk of them trading for the Saints LT.
The saints wont do it. They lose a young pro bowl LT (hardest position on the line) who is also scheduled to make less then a million next year, for a DT who they have to most likely have to pay 27-ish million and has never played in the NFL
and give up their first rounder? The saints would be making a big mistake.
If i were the Rams, I'd do it, then possibly trade up and grab Vernon Gholston (7, if he's available) or just grab Harvey or Albert.
But it wont happen. They love both Dorsey and Long, with more liking Dorsey. They need Long more though, and even though he's fine now, I have doubts about Dorsey's durability. He can play through the pain, but If he's injured all the time...well then...
I highly doubt it. Linehan has his job on the line, so by all means, he's going to try his **** hardest to get them to win. Last year was hard because of the HUGE HUGE HUGE amount of injuries, but the year before they were 8-8 and did fairly well.
With the defense set to improve (by the signing of the 2nd pick) and maybe some additional depth, I really think they can go to the playoffs at least as a wild card. The first 7 games are tough, but the rest are winnable.
Just remember the last time Al Saunders was here, and the last time Trent Green sat on the bench...
I just hope they make the right decision. I want them to pick Long, but I'd totally understand if they went Dorsey. He is a beast. I just hope the one they pick is the better of the two.
