***Official NFL Draft 2008 Thread (The Rams are on the clock)***

fucking Al Davis, picks a good back when he already had Micheal Bush.
All i want to know is WHY DID THE RAIDERS DRAFT MCFADDEN!?!?!?!?
You can always count on Al Davis to draft a skill position player that his team doesn't need. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sadly, the Raiders are where talented draft picks go to die.

I'm liking the Rams draft so far. Added some good depth at corner. They say if he would have stayed another year he would have probably gone in the 1st round. (he graduated in three years)

Greco looks good too. Good influence on Barron, possibly as backup or starter for RG or RT.

Avery...eh. He's fast. Thats for sure. He isn't going to be starting right away, as Holt and Bennett are the starters, so I like the pick more now. That being said, I'd much rather them have taken a proven WR (Devin Thomas especially!) but He seems like a good player, but still a reach.

Greco looks good. He can add solid depth I think. So can the other guy (the 5th rounder...don't remember his name). For some reason he seems like he will have more of an immediate impact. At the very least the two of them can hopefully get Alex Barron to pull his head out of his ***. The 4th rounder CB looks very good. If they can develop Wade and him, they can have a good secondary.

The Chiefs seem to have the best draft so far, by far. Glenn Dorsey and Branden Albert for Jared Allen...Only time will tell if they made a great move, or a horrible move.

Well, I am very pleased by the Saints' draft. They filled areas of need and got great value for their picks.

1st Round: S. Ellis, DT. This was a huge area of need for the Saints and Ellis is very good to elite player. They moved up in order to ensure this selection. Great job, everything else is gravy.

2nd Round: Tracy Porter, CB. Again, a high need position. Good value at this spot and his ability to cover man to man fits the Saints' system very well. Supposedly average at best in run support, but his stats say differently.

No 3rd. (part of the trade up for Ellis).

No 4th. (Traded for J. Vilma). If Vilma returns to form, this will also fill a need at MLB. Low risk, high reward.

5th. DeMario Pressley, DT. Again, this is an area of need and this guy was projected as high as the third. Great value. Has had some injury problems but that is offset by the prospect of having him play beside Ellis. (Ellis Pressley has to be a winner).

5th. Carl Nicks, OT. Are you kidding me? An absolute steal in the fifth.

6th. Taylor Mehlhalff, K. I love this pick. Touchbacks not TDs FTW.

7th. Adrian Arrington, WR. Well, you don't expect players in the 7th to make the team but this guy has a lot of upside. Colston version 2?

Eat your hearts out fewls.

QFT... This guy is going to be your starter and a potential pro-bowlers for a decade to come. Almost on par with Mason Crosby from last year who went to GB.

Honestly, I think they should have taken a much better receiver than him, there were PLENTY on the board. No Javon, and Brandon Marshall's injury could come into play down the road.
