**Official NCAA 09 Football Thread**

That's dedication right there. I used to live in Lincoln. Nice area.
I am actually an OSU fan, but I still love going Iowa games. I come back every year the buckeyes come to town. Which is pretty much the sole reason we still have the tickets since my dad barely goes, but I am happy about it.

Im personally not a fan of Lincoln, but that is mainly b/c I dont like the Huskers.

I have you going 6-6. Unfortunately, I have us not doing much better at 8-4.
I have them at 7-5, but with the defense the Vols have, 8 or 9 wins is not far fetched. If you take a look at last season they were 3 plays away from 8 wins and that was with one of the worst offenses in the country.
What's wrong with Lane? Yeah he likes to talk smack which was part of his plan to get the power T in the headlines (which worked wonders I might add). He surrounded himself with talented coaches and we all know that's what's it about.

How many you think Iowa wins out of that schedule?

Well, I think the loss of Greene is going to affect you guys a lot. If your QB play is good I don't see why you guys don't win 8 or 9 games. Unfortunately even then it's not enough to be better than 3rd in the big 10. I know they played really well the 2nd half of the season last year so they may indeed be well improved. I think Penn St, Ohio St, and Michigan St are all definite losses.

They should have won more. They changed QBs at the halfway point because the senior was just not cutting it anymore. They stuck the kid Stanzi out there, and he if he progresses from last season he should be pretty good. The guy who is replacing Greene is going to be Jewel Hampton. He did good enough for me from what I saw.

Yeah, if they place 2nd in the Big Ten this season I'll be surprised. Idk if Penn state will be as good as they were last year, but if they are Iowa has a tough *** season ahead of them.

Tennessee appealing NCAA decision on Bryce Brown.

It appears Brown will be ok in his collegiate career. It's not as bad as many speculated. He'll receive a one game suspension and have to pay back the funds from his sophomore year in high school. I still think it's weird that they are only targeting him when there were around 10 others (including his brother at Miami) who took part in the camp visits. I guess being the No. 1 recruit in the nation has its consequences.
