**Official NBA thread**

I had thought Hamilton led the team. Rasheed has a bad rep now and will get a tech before most other players.
In other news, it appears Flip will stay with Maxiell starting and bring McDyess off the bench against Orlando.
maxiell will start. he's more agressive and physical then mcdyess. will also be able to assist with guarding Howard, because i don't think sheed can do it.

Pistons dont really double much, they actually try not to double as often as possible, Sheed has always guarded Dwight man up, probably not going to change, unless Sheed loses him or sits...Detroit has a lot of front court in comparison to Orlando's...

It would be nice for the Magic to win a few of these games, maybe even take it to 7, but...meh...i'll be positive...Still Pistons in 6 seems like a good guess for right now...Orlando only really has the upper hand in one match up, and it's not the players...

Flip sat McDyess because he broke his nose. McDyess didn't become a starter till this year and he really plays well as a 6th man, and Maxiell has played well starting. I really don't think it had anything to do with matching up against Howard. Maxiell was going to get his minutes against Howard anyways.

i don't think it had anything to do with matching on howard at the time, but now that we're here with orlando playing the pistons, flip won't change it.

avery soon to be Chicago's coach?

Avery would be a good fit for Da Bulls, there are all kinds of speculations about destinations for coaches, today alone he's been linked to NY, Chicago and Phoenix. Supposedly The Mavericks want Mike D'antoni...could you image if those teams traded coaches //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Orlando runs a small lineup so they would most likely run Rasheed at Howard and Maxiell on Lewis, and probably Prince on Turkoglu. Billups struggles against quicker guards so I would look for Arroyo and Nelson to take him on the dribble often. You may see them switch Hamilton on either one, and we'll probably see an increase in minutes from Hunter. On the other end, Billups could post up either one at will, and Hamilton should be able to free himself for open shots.
Orlando runs a small lineup?

Nelson 6

Evans 6'5

Hedo 6'10

Lewis 6'10

Dwight 6'11

Billups owns Orlando, flat out, every point guard we have, the only player that slows him up is Dooling. Jameer Nelson his Billups' son and Arroyo? haha negro please, he sucks...Rip will light us up...Prince and the Pistons PF slot im not so concerned about, it will be a wash with Orlando's production on the offensive end. Its the guard situation that will flat out murder Orlando...always does...

yea orlando has a pretty tall lineup. big shot billups will murder them. orlando lacks offensive production b/c they live and die by the three. if they can work inside/out game and hit the three they have a chance.

Orlando plays small?

Rashard is an excellent post up player, and Hedo plays pretty physical. . Lewis will most likely guard the 4 spot on defense, but Howard will guard the paint, period.

as for avery, i don't want him in chicago. have you noticed that he has a good season record. somethin like 70% winning percentage and he's under .500 in the playoffs. flatout i don't think he's that good of a coach. not bad, but definately not elite. now he may work with the bulls just because they are young, still somewhat impressionable. he would be better suited for ncaa.

Orlando was the highest scoring offensive team in the East averaging 104PPG. They were 6th best in the league behind Utah, LAL, Pho, Denver and #1 GSW...Detroit is at 17th with 97PPG.

realizing that they do have high offensive production, but look at how they get it. from the three. if they don't make the three against the pistons, they loose; hands down.

OMG Atlanta winning again and forcing a game 3! are you kidding me? I'm loving it...well I said ATL would win at least one at the Phillips, I had no idea they would force "the best team" in the NBA to a game 7 in the first round...what an upset if they win game 7...wow...go Hawks!

I am actually rooting for the Hawks as the Cavs match up better to them than Boston. I actually am very shocked to see Atlanta going this far. I still don't see them beating Boston at their home court, but it would be crazy and even though I said Boston would go to the championship, I am pulling for Atlanta.
