its a rubber boot, they come on stock alts already there thats what protects it..

you should clean your grounds on the jeep. the camaro grounds look fine though.

Question about the Alt (+) to battery (+) connection. Doesn't the stock wire from the alt (+) go to the starter & ignition then to battery (+)? Would running an additional wire directly from the alt (+) to battery (+) cause problems for the stater or ignition?
