***Offical 08/09 NBA thread!***

Love the LA fans coming out of the woodwork. Where were you last year when Bron owned them and Kobe?
Actually even if they win this one, which they will, Lakers and Kobe have a lot of catching up to do in the series since Bron and Kobe have went head to head.

We lost this one, oh well. We have yet to lose two in a row. If we do, then I will be concerned.
x2. I think previously to this win, LBJ won like 5 straight against the Lakers or something like that. Considering the fact that this game was in LA, the Lakers were just holding serve. Didn't get to see the beginning of the game; how did Kobe hurt his finger?

if you didnt know, kobe's been injured in every game cleveland n LA played against each other including this one, but im not gonna make any excuses. you dont see him crying about a baby headbutt just to try obtaining the foul. he didnt even complain about the headbutt that got busted open above his eyebrow against miami. he actually just laughed it off n continued playing.

fact is you are a bandwagon fan
Based on what information?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Either way, you are one person I don't have to justify myself to. So please, spend your time and energy in this thread talking about the NBA instead of your boy crush on me.

Why ask me?

Anyway, go Cavs. We have yet to lose back to back games this year.

I will be concerned if we lose tonight. Blazers are a very good team. So will be interesting. Here is hoping that Greg Oden don't have a game like he did the other night. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Huge game tonight. Boston @ Orlando. It's not even the all-star break yet but this is a big game none the less. Whoever wins will have temporary hold on the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Boston thumped them last time but that was with Jameer Nelson out with an injury. So with Nelson healthy I guess we'll see.

On a totally unrelated topic, is it too soon to call Oden a bust?? Or what??

The Magic were without Jameer Nelson, Mikael Pietrus, Marcin Gortat and Keith Bogans in that first game...all are back with the exception of Pietrus, he's still out...should make for a fun game...can't wait to get there, the atmosphere will be nuts...

How do you define "bust"? Personally, I think it is too early to call Oden a bust, and I don't think he will be a bust going forward either. A bust is someone like Milicic, for example. Oden can be a solid double-double center in the league, especially once he adds some tools to his post game.

too soon to call him a bust, not living up to the #1 pick, yea that's about accurate for right now unless he takes off, but it's only his first season technically...gotta give the guy some time...the injuries are the real scare...

How is he a bust? He didn't play last year due to injuries and only plays 22 minutes a game right now and splits time with Prizbilla. The other night though he did have 24 points and 15 points. He looked real busted there................

Least the Cavs held him down last night. Nice win over a tuff portland team.

Don't get me wrong guys I only brought it up because I really thought he'd take off faster than he has. But then again he is still very young. Just brought it up for something to talk about.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
