***Offical 08/09 NBA thread!***

I never talked about Iverson because there wasn't any rumors about Iverson going to Detroit. I talked about Carmelo and how I would like Carmelo. Yes he isn't the 30 ppg player, but he's still a 25 ppg player who can create his own offense.
When you shoot that much, I guess you would have to create your own shot. And I don't care if it is 5 more shots more than Billups, Chauncey just is a smarter player.

If I had a choice between the two, I would pick Billups over Iverson any day of the week and guess what..........we would go further than the team Iverson is on.

Funny how you loved Billups sooooooooo much, now he isn't shit!

Here are players I would like to see Detroit acquire: Wade, Carmelo, Lebron, Pierce, Garnett, Davis, Paul, Duncan, Kobe, Deron Williams, Boozer, Brand, Joe Johnson, Bosh, Stoudamire, Howard

Maybe's: Arenas, McGrady, Nash, Nowitzki, Shaq, Marion, Ben Wallace

Not at all: Marbury, Kidd, Randolph

I'm sure there is more.

Oh christ here we go with Ben Wallace as a maybe, yet he goes to Cleveland and you say he isn't shit anymore.
You really are not worth my time anymore.

Go Cleveland, lol!
That is why he is a maybe. If he is in the last year of his contract, I would gladly take that expiring contract. He isn't close to what he was 4 years ago, but 15 million of cap space would be nice.

I just don't know why Detwat would do a deal like that. Iverson will not get them past Cleveland, Boston, Orlando, Toronto, shit..... Chicago for that matter.
LOL you have Detroit 6th in the east? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I don't know about that. They will be a playoff team and contending, but don't seem them winning it all............or really being in the championship game.

They probably will win their divison.

I think Boston will take it again..........or Orlando. They look good as well.

Want to say Clevleand and think they have a chance, but their past says other wise. So close, yet so far away. Hoping this is the year.

Not 6th, I was just saying. The deal makes them weaker. His best shot was with that Denver team before they let Camby go.

Detroit may fall in that 4/5 spot. I just don't see his 40 minutes a game fitting in with Stuckey trying to blossom.

If Iverson is a ball hog, why did his shots per game go down by about 5-6 and his assists go up when he went to Denver? He had no problem sharing the ball or spotlight with Carmelo.

That's as good as Cleveland will be. LeBron will take the show to the Nets. He's cool with Jay-Z and he's still young enough to make it happen there. He could get 40 a game on a shitty team like that. I really thought him and Arenas would play together, but Arenas re signed with the Wizards.

He will not play 40 minutes and the talk is either Hamilton or Prince is coming off the bench. He's going to start as a PG, but will probably move to SG with either Hamilton or Prince playing SF. Stuckey will get his minutes. You'll see a lot of an Iverson/Stuckey back court.

Of course his shots would go down some with another superstar player on your team. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Also his assists were right about the same or down some when he went into Denver. He had just as many or more in Philly.

He had a far better team than in Philly so the assists went up. I saw it in the playoffs that he had a problem being on that team. 2 of the top 5 scorers and one of the best defenders can't knock the overrated lakers out the playoffs? I don't blame him, but what else is it? Iverson I'm just saying will not make them a better team. The ship has sailed.

Yeah, you need to read more into the NJ thing. I just read that NJ move may not happen and neither will bron. He will more than likely end up a Knick if he was to get traded, but really is too far to worry about right now anyway.
