The Magic beat the Celtics at home today.... pretty impressed by our squad lately; developing defensive prowess even more recently.
The Cavs are my team, but I even said I wasn't sure how well they would do. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif in the east you were ok but they are your teams so how are they picks?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif I just hope a western team wins it
They are playing well for sure and now healthy. Could be their season in the West, although I am not a Jazz fan, I can respect any team who wins that many in a row.Jazz on 11 consecutive wins //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif
Celts have a ton of injuries though. The Magic beat the Celtics at home today.... pretty impressed by our squad lately; developing defensive prowess even more recently.
True, however skip..........didn't know that was his nickname, did have 23 points and lead the team, lol!I'm watching the Cavs vs Magic game from last night. I think the Magic are better than they were last year and could give anyone in the East a good run if they had Jameer back. Skip is a decent player, but he is NOT the player you want handling the ball in the Eastern conference finals. Just doesn't make smart enough decisions. As an example, last night with about 2 minutes left, Skip did a pick n roll with Howard. Varejao and Williams switched, so you had Varejao trying to stop Skip from penetrating and Williams trying to defend Howard posting him up.
Now the really smart thing would have been to get the ball into the post so Howard can take advantage of Williams (or at least take the foul), but Rafer decided that's the time for a 30% 3 point shooter to jack one up with a taller defender on him. They're still a very good team (I'm starting to like some of the things Pietrus brings), but I don't see them really challenging Cleveland, Boston, or LA.
I didn't know all that....His nickname is Skip To My Lou. He was one of the best street ballers ever and did a bunch of And 1 mixtape tours before he got into the NBA.
He has all the skills to be a good PG but only about half of the sensibility. With 2 minutes left in the game, take the open shot if you've got it, but put the ball in the hands of your stars first.
Not saying anything bad about the Magic team; just that they'll be in really tough to beat Cleveland, Boston, or LA without a bonafide starting PG.
why are you rolling your eyes? about SVG complaining or complaining about that call?True, however skip..........didn't know that was his nickname, did have 23 points and lead the team, lol!
Also their team and especially S. Van Gundy was pissed about that defensive 3 second call. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
Cavs played well enough when it counted! 4 plus lead on Boston now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Actually think the Magic have a better chance than Boston getting the #2 spot. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I might have to go buy a nice big block of cheese for your wine!why are you rolling your eyes? about SVG complaining or complaining about that call?
as far as the call goes, as several NBA columnist have suggested today, a 3 second call in the last minute of a game is rare enough, let alone the last 10 seconds...Do you know the last time a 3 second call was made within the last 10 seconds of a game, regular season or playoff? well dont worry, John Hollinger of ESPN did the homework for us today, 2007 ECF, Chris Webber whistled for defensive 3 seconds with 8 seconds remaining in game 5, against....the Cavs...so you have to go back 3 seasons to find a 3 second call in the last 10 seconds of a game...that makes it pretty rare, no wonder the Magic bench was scratching their heads and were upset...if it's the right call, that's fine, no big deal, but how about we get that call more consistently, you cant tell me there have been zero 3 second violations between 2007 and yesterday in the last few seconds of a game...
as for complaining, how many techs does Mike Brown have this year? enough to make a public vow to avoid landing another one...do you roll your eyes when he goes on his tirades? not calling him a complainer but I see him barking at the refs all the time, like when he was screaming 3 seconds last night at the refs with 6 seconds left...
either way, it is what it is...it was a marvelous game, I dont really care about the calls at the end, if your relying on calls, you didnt do your job on the court, the 3 second call was a bit perplexing though, as many people have said already today, but, meh there will be more...
