AR-15 = legal assault rifle. it has always been legal because it is a semi-automatic gun. you can get them modified now to be legal since bush has lifted the assault weapons ban. Bush takes one for the team!

i meant illegal as in selling it to random people over the internet.... i know the gun itslelf is legal. a hunter in wisconsin proved how invaluable an assault rifle can be in a deerstand that doesn't belong to you...

Nope it is perfectly legal. Considering it has to be shipped to a federal firearms licensed dealer where they do a background check. How do you think they do it on http://www.gunbroker.com C'mon people, someone has to want this.

What options do you have for it? Specs on the upper/receiver, optics if any, clips/mags that come with it...blah blah, etc.

One of my friends has an AR with a Nikon red dot sight on it, had the chance to shoot with it once...very nice gun.

It is a colt upper and a new DPMS panther arms lower. It is pre ban and comes with case, cleaning kit and 5 20 round mags and 1 30 round mag. I hope this helps. Anyone with cash or stuff to trade can ask for pics.
