Removable Phase Plug for smooth, flat frequency response even off-axis. Remove the phase plug and replace it with either a straight or angled tweeter mounting post to transform the SR6500 into the absolute best coaxial speaker on the planet.

Please explain I'm so confused. I think the SLC's I ordered are off-axis but what does this mean?

So I should not point the SLC's at my ears? And what exactly is the difference between the two?

It's just marketing hype to sell speakers...

"Even if you install them in a trash can, our speakers are slicker than whale poop on an iceberg". Get it?!

I'm willing to bet all the best sounding speakers have good off-axis response... so, just let your ears be the judge.
