OEM subaru cd HU - put in 97 nissan 200sx - no illumination - HELP!!

hello all-

I have installed Clarion OEM (or factory) subaru cd player

PF2364B-A

Into a 1997 Nissan 200sx with a scosche su03rb reverse wiring harness. There was a metra wiring harness already in the 200sx, and all the colors matched, except for a blue and white "Remote" coming from the metra...

The Clarion subaru deck will not dim, light, etc. No light on lcd and buttons. The HU works (sound & everything) and lcd shows up, just no light/illumination.. I have read around and some posts say to cap off the orange dimmer wire, and one even said to connect it to ground? Any help would be greatly appreciated... I just want some light! Don't even care if it dims (not that bright anyway).

I know this HU lights up because it was in my friends subaru a week ago it lit up just fine. I have looked for bent pins/ loose wires etc. and cant find any....

orange is illumination,should get a +12 volts,not ground.

yes orange dimmer is connected.... no lights or illumination....any alternatives?

never mind. capped off illumination and it worked. thanks for all the help.
