Hey all, let me first warn you: I'm a total newbie when it comes to this kind of thing.
Ok, that having been said..Here's the problem.
I bought a 500w amp and 12" sub from a friend, and installed them myself. Pretty sure I have the amp installed correctly. However, I'm trying to put the sub in without the benefit of an aftermarket head unit. I was told I could do this by cheating and running a piece of speaker wire from one of the rear speakers to the sub inputs, along with the output from the amp.
This seems to work fine when the truck's off, running on battery power, however when I crank it, the right channel/sub ceases to put out any sound.
Not sure what's causing this, though it's probably a really simple problem I'm overlooking.
Any help would be appreciated! And thanks in advance!!!
