well i think this was answered before for you http://www.caraudio.com/forums/general-discussion/540711-obsidian-audio.html but yes it will work for both. and most ppl don't give them over 1000w rms but to each their own

r u getting a 2 ohm or 4 ohm sub? and it sounds like you are going to run 2 of them?

I planned on getting two of them. But I think they were the d4 ones

D4's can be wired to 1 ohm or 4 ohm in a mono load. If you want to get to a 2 ohm load then you will need D2's for your install.
