well my kicker amp died on me, an it turned out i was underpowering it.

So ive been looking to up my eletrical and i was looking for new alts when

Well now if i up grade to a 14.4 or w/e will it fry my eletric? Can some one shed some light on ware i can get a 14v for around $200 or soo.

no it wont fry your electrical system. Most alternators will run a car at close to 14.4v Mine is a steady 13.8 at idle, and its stock.

You also did not blow the amp from underpowering it. Your amp has a non-regulated power supply capable of making power more than likely as low as 10 volts before the underpower / overcurrent protection circuit would kick in sending the amp into protection mode. More than likely what killed your amp was a bad ground or running it at the wrong impedence.
