but the overall loudness is scaring me, i need it loud, at least as loud as my id ctx65cs were of 300w / side

I have been running the 5.25" set of these for several months now. Before that I had the PG Rsd's. The build quality on this set is very solid and the sound is very smooth. The rsd's on the other hand, were quite harsh. These components also come with a whole slew of mounting options which is nice. I am giving these comps about 100 watts rms per side, the same as the rsd's before I replaced them and these take the power much much better. As for the low sensitivity......that could be a problem for some of you with a large sub stage. I am only running one 12" W6 and these drown out my sub. Its also kind of hard for me to compare output because the rsd's had equally low sensitivity. You would be hard pressed to find a better set for this price however. I am very happy with my purchase.

Did the rsds get louder on the same power?

I have RSDs in the front of my teg and I am thinking about switching to these while completely deadening and sealing my doors.

I LOVE SQ but everybody loves getting loud too.

Any opinions on whether the 6.5" version is really worth the price premium over the 5.25"? The 355cs is only $75 right now, the 356cs is still $135.

just set your gain around 150-200watts at a given level and see how they work. if they seems stress, distort or smell, lower your gain a tad till you see where they're confortable.

Any speakers sound better at higher volume will alot of headroom.

it looks like a big amp box, pretty heavy too

mids aren't really heavy but the crossover... !!!!! they look so much better in real life. They look solid and quality build, no cheapo plastic
