Sorry to post jack but you think if i ran a stock alt , interstate starter batt up front and an optima in back id be able to run my saz 1500 at .5 and be straight? 96 tahoe

One run should be fine in the jeep. To then other guy. You need a ho alt. Even a 200 amp will help

So I just got done doing some research. I have a 90a alt in the jeep now. I guess guys have been known to pull alts out of 98 Cherokees that are 135a and they almost bolt right up. My neighbor works at a junk yard. Think its worth it to upgrade to the 135a alt? Im curious if I did that with the big 3 if I could go to 2500w and not have any issues. If not im leaving it stock and seeing how the 1200w system runs...

One run of 1/0 to a distro block should be fine.

The Sundown 2500 is a beast amp. I wouldn't consider trying to run that without a very large auxiliary battery. It's pretty much an under-rated 3K, and IMO even the better brands' 2K's are shaky with HO alternator and only 55AH auxiliary battery.

What will the used alt cost u????

It doesn't hurt to try if it's cheap buy it see if it lines up with the holes if so run it if not sell it

But one run should be fine brother and sorry bout the post jacking just trying to help out a fellow bass head !!!

Since my neighbor works at a big yard im sure I can get it for next to nothing, if not nothing. According to that thread i posted it basically bolts right up. Very little modding.

No worries on the post jacking. I didn't mind. I just laughed when dawg said he didn't want to post jack after there were like 9 unrelated replies. Its all good.

Im about 8 minutes South of Chicago now.
