NSv3 12 ... stay at the recommended rms or can they take more?

Just as the title states, should I keep that sub at the rated rms or do you think I can safely push more watts into it on a consistent basis?

I'd stay at or under rms until you can tell what to listen and smell for when over powering a sub.

you might not even need to feed it rated power. ie, box made larger than spec for efficiency

If you even have to ask, you have absolutely no business attempting to use it outside of manufacturer recommendations.

Actually if you have a good bit of disposable income go for it and you can learn the expensive way what it will or will not handle.

This is what I was originally going to say. Lol

At those levels a slightly clipped singal is alot more heat than say 1000rms. If you have the power and its clean with no real voltage problems it more than likely will..
