NSB vs XS power batteries

so from what i'm hearing, xs is better for daily and nsb's are better for burp. but why is this? i'm trying to get some batteries for a mostly daily setup, and would get the d3100s but everyone says the nsb 90, 100 or 170 is much better and theyre much better priced. I can geet a nsb 170 for the same price as a 3100 and a 100 for 100 bucks cheaper so i'd rather go with them unless they really dont work well daily.

i've also heard that the nsb's need a little maintenance. does this just mean you need to throw them on a charger once a week or so?

NSB's used to be cheap, cause they are telecom batteries. They have a great discharge rate. But because stereo guys were buying them up fast, they realised what was going on, and jumped the price a lot.

They can be used as a daily battery, but they don't take vibration as well as an XS will.
